Honorary Cristina Castro and other elected officials hosted a Backyard BBQ with Senator Dick Durbin on Sunday, September 15th – 1:00 to 3:00 PM @ Home of Marty McCormack and Ivonne Hopkins in Elgin.
Over 150 democrats attended this event. Over a dozen of elected officials were there. It was outstanding gathering. State Senator Cristina Castro started her speech with Good Afternoon and she was furious about xenophobic and fascist atmosphere. She urged everyone to go and flip the Presidential seat. She appreciated the support of her teammate Anna Moller and praised Goerner JB Pritzker for supporting them to get the equal pay for equal work act and also raise the minimum wages in State of Illinois. She also mentioned the Supreme Court issue and urged everyone to get democrats elected from Whitehouse to Courthouse. She said Senator Dick Durbin is fighting for working families. He is working hard on Judiciary and Budget. He is working on to get the federal law passed for raise the minimum wage and equal pay act. Her shout out got everyone’s attention and the neighborhood was echoing with claps.
