PV Sindhu Praised By Pullela Gopichand for Her Fighting Spirit in the World Superseries Finals

PV Sindhu has lost in the final match in the women’s singles final of the World Superseries Finals against Akane Yamaguchi on December 17. During the first match of the 91 minutes game, PV Sindhu managed to beat her opponent, however, she was defeated in the last two matches and ended up at 21-15, 12-21 and 19-21. Pullela Gopichand has remarked that Sindhu was not feeling good at all and despite her poor health, she managed to fight with the World No 2.

According to the reports, Gopichand stated that the concluding match was very tough and Sindhu was sick at that time. She was seen sweating and wiping her nose. She deserves credit for her dynamic spirit to participate in such a situation.

Gopichand was present during the game in the courtside. He was calm, he remarked the situation was tougher and forced him to be calm and appear more animated. He had to connect with her in a different way, as she was busy reserving herself following the first match. Kidambi Srikanth was featured in the men’s singles as well; however, he underwent three straight losses in the game.

Gopichand shared his concerns and remarked that the players would have to concentrate on their forthcoming challenges.  They would have to quit their concerns regarding their previous losses and they would have to begin with a new hope each time.  The coach also remarked that a player shouldn’t much care about previous right and wrong, one must start a game with a new hope.  Earlier, the Indian team has competed by going neck to neck with foreign players and this would have been possible without the guidance of Gopichand.
