SANFORD (WGME) — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Sanford teen.
Police say 16-year-old Ellie Thompson was reported missing on Tuesday,
She is a white, 5’1,” 100 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Police say Ellie was last seen leaving her home in Sanford on Tuesday around 2 p.m.
She was wearing a brown fuzzy jacket, jeans, a purple hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a bright orange backpack.
Police say they have checked with Ellie’s friends and family, and several locations where she frequents, and she has not been found.
Sanford police say the FBI and Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit are helping in the search for Ellie.
Sanford police say her disappearance does not appear to be suspicious.
