Indian court order to seize property of Zakir Naik

 A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in India  has ordered attachment of five properties belonging to controversial preacher and head of the Islamic Research Foundation, Zakir Naik, Mumbai mirror reported.

The properties include a shop and four flats in Mazgaon, close to the IRF headquartersin Dongri.

Charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) two years ago, Naik was declared a proclaimed offender by the court in June 2017.

The court allowed National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) application for attachment of property only on Thursday.

NIA, through their advocate Anand Sukhdev, had give in that Naik, who is abroad, was trying to dispose of his properties.
