Chris Evans just made one six-year-old boy’s day, as he sent him a personalised video, thanking him for being a superhero for his sister. Bridger, a little boy from the US and an avid Marvel fan, has been called a ‘hero’ after he stepped in to save his younger sister from a dog attack.
His auntie has been sharing his story on Instagram and was on a mission to make sure Bridger’s favourite superheroes, including Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans, who is famed for playing Captain America, knew just how brave he had been. And after coming across her post, Chris decided to send a video back to Bridger, along with his very own authentic Captain America shield.
The Avengers actor, 39, left Bridger speechless, as he praised him for being so ‘selfless and brave’. He said: ‘This is a message for Bridger. Hey Bridger, Captain America here, how you doing buddy? So, I read your story and saw what you did. I’m sure you’ve heard a lot of this over the last couple of days, but pal, you’re a hero. Captain America himself has sent a very special message & gift to 6-year-old hero Bridger, who saved his baby sister from a dog attack.
Your parents must be so proud of you. I’m going to track down your address and send you an authentic Captain America shield because, pal, you deserve it.’ Chris continued: ‘Keep being the man you are, we need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I’ve seen, I don’t think there is much that can slow you down.
Bye buddy.’ Bridger, who was dressed in his best Captain America costume, was left pretty speechless, while his sister said she thought Chris’ video was ‘awesome.’ When she told her big brother that he can take his new shield ‘wherever you go’, Bridger laughed and joked back: ‘I don’t think that’s a good idea.’ Captain America himself has sent a very special message & gift to 6-year-old hero Bridger, who saved his baby sister from a dog attack.
