Can Trump Win the Forthcoming US Presidential Race?

On January 18, Donald Trump addressed a rally at Liberty University in Virginia. His speech was targeted to woo those voters who are struggling hard to find jobs in the US. In his speech, Trump said, “We’re going to get Apple to build their damn computers in this country instead of in other countries”.
As per a news report, Apple has partnered with the Chinese giant Foxconn to manufacture its products and a Chinese worker is paid $400 a month for assembling an iPhone. If Apple decides to set up a manufacturing base in Georgia or Wyoming where a worker is $5.15 per hour, the cost of production would go high. It means that if a US worker works for eight hours a day, then the company would have to spend $824 per month for each worker.

Apart from labor cost, Apple could face surge in shipping, marketing and R&D costs if sets up a plant in the US. Currently, Apple’s iPhone 6S is priced at $650. If the same phone is manufactured in US, then a buyer has to pay $1300 or more.

While Trump was speaking at the Liberty University in Virginia, he said that products manufactured outside the US would be levied 35% tax. Therefore, an iPhone would cost $877.50 to a buyer.
Apart from expressing his plans to make US strong economically, Trump has hurt sentiments of people on secular and social fronts. Recently, the Republican presidential candidate was wrapped with controversies when he called for complete ban on Muslims from entering US.

According to Donald, the proposed ban would be applicable for visitors and immigrants with Islamic faith. Trump said, “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life”.

This controversial remark has created a stir across the world and many global leaders have condemned Trump for what he had said. According to David Cameron, the conservative Prime Minister of Britain has completely disagreed and labeled his comments as wrong, unhelpful and divisive.
Jack Dromey, the Home Minister of Labour also expressed his offend and termed trump as a “Dangerous fool”. He further said that he should not be allowed within thousand miles of British shores.

Trump quoted that Paris is no longer a safe city supporting his views on banning Muslims. He hinted that police is petrified to go there as they are afraid of their lives. To this, the France Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Trump is stoking hatred.

Trump Muslim-hatred remarks have also earned wrath from some of his supporters. A prominent businessperson in Dubai, Khalaf Al Habtoor earlier considered Trump as the fearless does that America needs, but his remarks on the Muslims have made Habtoor regret. Habtoor quoted that trump is creating hatred between the US and the Muslims.

Trump even did not spare Barrack Obama. He said, “Our great African American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore”.
It appears that Trump does not favor people from other countries. At one of his campaigns, he said, “Immigrants entering the US from Mexico have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists”.

Political experts feel that Donald has issued statements that are against constitutional norms. With such statement, Trump has disqualified himself from fighting the presidential race.
