ISLAMABAD: The wait is over as Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is addressing the nation on the progress of his 100 days old government.

According to details, the prime minister is giving a brief at a special event organized in the federal capital to mark the completion of 100 days of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government in office.

The tag line of the ceremony is “Bunyaad Naye Pakistan Ki” [Foundation of a new Pakistan].

PM Khan, who is the chief guest on the occasion, is speaking of the achievements of his government since it came to power after July 25 General Elections.

The ceremony is being attended by all federal ministers, advisers and PTI workers.

Few days back, PM Imran Khan received a 100-day performance report of different ministries, outlining ‘feats and failures’ of the ministers in 100 days of governance.

According to the report, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed and Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed appeared to be having a tough contest in terms of edging past one another.

The report says that both the ministers completed their 100-day tasks in time. The ministry headed by Sheikh Rasheed registered an income of more than Rs 2 billion, while Murad Saeed’s ministry saw an addition of Rs 3 billion to the revenue in first 100 days in office.

In its first 100 days of governance, PTI government has taken a number of steps, wherein few notable measures include austerity drive, 5-year plan for polio eradication, plantation and cleanliness campaigns, clean and green Pakistan and ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Programme’.

Imran had unveiled his 100-day plan two months before the general elections on May 21.
