SCHAUMBURG, Ill. The Palatine man arrested after driving through Woodfield Mall on September 20th was charged with terrorism, according to NBC Chicago.
Schaumburg Police say 22 year old Javier Garcia was charged with terrorism, a class x felony, and criminal damage to property.
Police say a motive has not been determined but have no reason to believe Garcia was targeting any specific person or store.
Garcia was released from AMITA Health Behavioral Medicine Institute on Friday, and transferred to the custody of Schaumburg Police.
