Chicago, IL – It was a flamboyant evening filled with enthusiastic youth, music, food and powerful message of empowering the students through educational scholarship in an effort togive back to the community by Usmania Fine Dining Restaurant which was attended by morethan 700 students from Chicago, Illinois.
The Usmania Youth Tuition Scholarship Event was held at the Meadows Club on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019. The event was competently and successfully organized, managed and marketed by Admark Digital, a Chicago based marketing advertising agency.
It was the first community-based event in the Chicagoland area that has seen an enormous
response and attendance over 700 from the Youth. Usmania Restaurant purpose for this event was to encourage students to continue their education and play their part to support students achieving their dreams. A month before, this event had been marketed which helped hundreds of students to register for the Youth Grant. The tuition grants were in the form of two scholarships of $2,500 each won by Marryann Warda and Fariha Junagadhwala respectively.
Usmania Restaurant generosity continued as they gave spectacular giveaways to attendees of
4 laptops, 10 tablets and 15 smartwatches which were all drawn in a raffle.
The master of the ceremony Ms. Javeria Sheeraz welcomed everyone at the event.
The program was segmented into two parts. The first part was an interactive panel discussion on the importance of education which was guested by Dr. Omar Lateef, Chief Medical Officer of Rush Hospital and Dilara Sayeed an educator-led by Bushra Amiwala, the Youth Icon for Usmania in this event. Bushra’s popularity as a Youth Icon in the South Asian fraternity is precedent by her decision of running for the office of the Cook County Board of Commissioners
at the age of 19 years. The session of panel discussion well ended by active participation from the young crowds who asked questions and guidance from the guests on stage.
The second half of the session was mainly the raffle round which was being eagerly awaited by the young crowd was conducted by the master of ceremony Javeria in which the scholarship grants, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches were given out to the lucky students whose names were drawn in the raffle and awarded by the dignitaries Dr. Omar Lateef, Dilara Sayeed, and Syed Hussaini.
Being one of the finest restaurants in the city, Usmania restaurant made sure the food served would be the best and were relished by the crowd. Lastly, the program ended with the performance of Humza Abbasi, a local student who also has given a chance to showcase his
talent at the event. His performance of the Bollywood and Pakistani songs had enthused the young crowd. Hundreds of students had attended the event to win the scholarship grant and giveaway prizes thus making the event a very successful one.
