A complaint alleges that after shirking their duties, Salman Khan et.al. made underhanded deals with a competitor promoter without refunding the deposits on the original deal and leaving the old promoter holding the bag.
Vibrant Media Group, LLC. files a complaint in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois, against Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Prabhu Deva, and others as well as their agent’s Matrix India Entertainment Consultants Private Limited and Yashraj Films Private Limited, alleging breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, among other counts, seeking injunctive and declaratory relief. The complaint alleges that in 2013, Vibrant Media Group, LLC., hired the artists to appear live and perform at the concert extravaganza celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema to be held on September 2013. That show had to be canceled while Mr. Khan battled legal troubles after a drunken incident where Mr. Khan’s vehicle struck and killed a homeless man in Mumbai. Vibrant Media Group, LLC, agreed to postpone further in order to suit Mr. Khan’s convenience after he was convicted for the shooting of the endangered blackbuck Indian gazelles.
Vibrant Media Group, LLC., recently learned that Mr. Khan and fellow artists, instead of keeping their promise to Vibrant Media Group, LLC, or even offering to return their deposits, have agreed to perform with Hetal Patel and Lucky Day, LLC. All calls to Mr. Khan, his agents, and other artists, for the return of the funds, have gone unanswered.
