Sindh Government Likely To Announce Holiday on December 25
According to the latest news, the Sindh Government has decided to announce a public holiday on December 25 on account of the birth of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan and to celebrate the festival of Christmas across the nation. General Administration and Coordination Department of Sindh government have recently informed it through an official notification issued by the services. The Government with an aim of promoting inter-faith harmony across the nation usually officially celebrates the festivals of minorities.
Usually, 2.2 billion Christians across the globe celebrate December 25 as the birthday of Prophet Jesus Christ. However, the entire population of Pakistan including the Christian minority of the country has decided to celebrate December 25 as the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. In general, the world knows Pakistan is quite different and unique in terms of culture and thoughts but this announcement clarifies it again. When the whole world would busy celebrating the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ, the Pakistanis would celebrate the birthday of Jinnah, this is indeed a unique arrangement to become an instance of diversity.
